About Us

We are a platform dedicated to tracing the paths of silk threads, its history, and uses in various knowledge achievements. We seek to associate silk weaves and its art with complex human relationships.

DEBORAH ROCHA

Founder and researcher

Carioca, master in Luxury Management, Hospitality, and Tourism from Inseec Lyon. After a period of studies and specializations in France, Deborah dedicated herself to reviving the Silk Road, to tell the world a new version of the facts, focusing on the reinterpretation of Brazilian culture with her expatriate perspective.

Since 2019, her research has revolved around the potential of silk as a thread of sensitive, durable, and transformative narrative, thus giving rise to Do Fio da Seda. Our Cocoon also seeks to associate silk weaves and its art with complex human relationships.

WHAT WE DO

Palestras & Conversas

Events, lectures, and workshops are crucial for disseminating new ideas and stimulating workgroups, lines of thought, and enthusiastic individuals. Do Fio da Seda operates with a focus on spreading knowledge about silk, fostering dialogue between industry, governments, entrepreneurs, and artisans.

Passeios & Ateliers

Cultural tours are the best way to acquire knowledge and, at the same time, embark on a journey into the unknown. With Deborah as your guide, you will discover the importance of silk in the thread of Lyon's history, a French city that still today is synonymous with excellence and innovation.

Creative Products

We are developing a line of silky products to gift and inspire creativity with art and design. In order to unite intellectual and manual creation, we encourage the sensitive exploration of texture and plant-based color.
