The inspiration for this talk is the spiral movement that the silkworm makes as it weaves its cocoon. A true dance of metamorphosis, which is also present in the fibre. It is this very fibre that connects us point by point and puts us in touch.
It is the conversation that will lead to the birth of stories, unveiling new frontiers of thought, changing perspectives on how we think about something and, possibly, giving rise to insights and emotions.
Nobody knows what this weaving will lead to. It's at the very moment of the intellectual gesture that you savour the luxus of "giving birth" to something new.
So let's walk along paths of other silks in order to "de-orientalise" the thread of "Brazilianness", and try to reinterpret it with the vision of someone who has sought to go overseas.
To draw attention to the sensitivity of the thread guided by art and its power to sharpen sensitivities and, depending on the type of production and the historical context, generate different ways of relating to the world.
An open and evolving conversation that can, and should, be nurtured by you too!
Deborah's talks are relaxed and covers topics such as culture, society, tourism, art, social networks, among others.
